virtual album launch event
An idea born before covid lockdown but launched at its peak, Bob’s Son Cafe became the respite everyone needed - a virtual cafe with a cozy vibe where visitors were treated to an exclusive first listen to the new album ‘Bob’s Son’ by R.A.P. Ferreira.
backstory
A week before the official launch date of the album, R.A.P. Ferreira announced that he had been dropping hints across his social media platforms pointing towards the password that would grant access to the exclusive Bob’s Son Cafe where fans would have the chance to hear the album in advance IF they could crack the code. Over the following 72 hours or more, the circles of fans on Twitter, Instagram and Discord where all abuzz trying to find the answer. Some found success but the secret was not spoiled and I saw thousands of messages either celebrating their entry or frustratingly still on the hunt.
Once they gained access, visitors would be transported into the world where they could teleport from one hot spot to another, each jump introducing a new song. All with plenty of easter eggs to discover along the way.
